RG Snyman NOT returning to the Bulls – or SA

Springbok lock RG Snyman has reportedly agreed to reunite him with a former coach when he leaves Irish side Munster at the end of the season.

And the new deal is said to be worth R10 million per year to the second-rower.

Munster this week announced that Snyman, who was part of the Springboks’ Rugby World Cup-winning squad in France this year, is set to end his four-year stay in Limerick.

Despite enduring multiple injuries during his time at Munster, there has been no shortage of interest in his services.

It was reported that at least three South African teams – the Bulls, Stormers and Sharks – were keen to sign the 2.06m-tall, 28-year-old.

There was also interest from clubs in Japan and France.

However, it appears that RG Snyman, who represented the Bulls between 2015 and 2019, has rejected those options in order to reunite with a former Munster coach now based in England.

According to a report by L’Equipe, Snyman has accepted a move to Bath who are currently coached by Johann van Graan.

The deal is reportedly worth £450 00 (R10 million) per season.
