Rich Paul hits Stephen A. Smith with ‘low blow’ about sister

Rich Paul had the last laugh when he dropped a joke about Stephen A. Smith’s sister, Carmen.

During an appearance on Tuesday’s installment of “First Take,” the Klutch Sports CEO jokingly accused Smith of being “jealous” because Carmen loves him.

“You’re jealous,” Paul said repeatedly after Smith busted him about “never listening” when the two talk basketball.

“Let me tell you what you’re jealous of because Carmen loves Rich. That’s what you’re jealous about Stephen A.”

That’s when Smith smirked and pointed at Paul.

“My sister,” he said. “Oh, that’s a low blow you just pulled on national television but I’m going to let it slide because I need her to cook something for me tonight and I don’t want to get on her bad side.”

It was all fun between Smith and Paul, who joined the show to promote his new book, “Lucky Me: A Memoir of Changing the Odds,” which explores how, at 21, he met NBA superstar LeBron James at an airport and how their friendship blossomed into a multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment business.

Smith has praised Paul on the airwaves, and the two have exchanged jokes through the years.

Smith, who tends to keep his personal life private, has talked about his sister on television on numerous occasions.

Carmen joined the ESPN personality during the debut of his ESPN show, “NBA in Stephen A’s World,” in October 2022.

Smith and Paul made headlines last month after the NBA super agent called “cap” on a story Smith shared publicly about an exchange between the two.

The ESPN host claimed that he had told Paul to “get the f–k out my face,” over an argument over James and Michael Jordan, but Paul said this story was not truthful.
