Robert Talbott taps former Eton Shirts creative director for top design spot

American heritage menswear brand Robert Talbott announced on Monday the appointment of
Sebastian Dollinger as its creative director, marking a new chapter of growth and innovation for the brand.

Dollinger joins Robert Talbott from Eton Shirts, where he served as creative director for the last 15 years. His first collection for Robert Talbott will bow in Spring/Summer 2025.

The appointment follows Newtimes Group’s 2022 acquisition of the Californian brand with the goal of relaunching the Robert Talbott business by leveraging its brand equity with updated designs and the assignment of an experienced executive team.

Founded in Carmel, California in 1950, Robert Talbott makes timeless luxurious ties and shirting for men, as well as a complete casual wear line featuring blazers, sweaters, pants, knits, and accessories.

“Our spirit of innovation will be a driving force in crafting garments that embody comfort, sharpness, and distinctive details. Leading the design team, with the valuable expertise of Nick Picchione, senior vice president of merchandising, we will hyper-focus on shirts and ties which is our heritage — will be central to our narrative — as well as on our sportswear collections,” said Dollinger. 

Founded some 60 years ago, Newtimes Group specializes in the sourcing, product  development and supply chain management of apparel, accessories, and home products for export to North  America, Central America, South America and Europe.
