A week after revealing she was now dating a woman, singer and former Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte has shared vision of the loved-up pair together.
Reports that Bassingthwaighte had separated from her husband of 12 years Cameron McGlinchey emerged in August and now the singer has gone Instagram official with her new girlfriend.
Bassingthwaighte posted a video that showed the couple holding hands before the singer took to the stage as the support act for Christina Aguilera in Melbourne.
In an interview with Stellar magazine last week, the Rogue Traders front woman spoke about her “beautiful” new relationship “with a woman who makes my heart smile and makes me happy”.
The Herald Sun has identified Bassingthwaighte’s new partner as Pip Loth.
Bassingthwaighte — a mother of two to Harper, 13, and Hendrix, 10 — had admitted that she was initially “terrified” about revealing her same-sex relationship and was worried she may be outed.
“So having public interest, I won’t lie, was terrifying from the get-go. Since it first happened, I was waiting for someone to say something. And it just felt like I wasn’t ready. The hardest part was getting a phone call to say, the media know … they want a comment. I felt very overwhelmed.”
She even sought advice from her ex about how to handle it.
“He said, ‘It’s OK. This is your truth and you now have to sit in it and stand in it and own it.’”
