The Railway Recruitment Cell – South Eastern Railway, Kolkata region has released notification inviting apprentices for 2023-2024 session. The RRC notified for a total of 1,785 posts.

Eligibility
Eligibility for the South Eastern Railway (SER) Apprentice program requires candidates to have completed Class 10 High School or Matriculation along with an ITI/NCVT Certificate in the relevant trade.For detailed information oneligibility criteria specific to each trade, applicants are advised to refer to the official notification.
Age criteria
For the Railway RRC SER Various Trade Apprentice 2023, the age limit is determined as of January 1, 2024. Candidates must be a minimum of 15 years old and should not exceed 24 years. Additionally, there is age relaxation available as per the rules of the East Central Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) SER Kolkata Act Apprentice for the 2023-24 recruitment cycle.
Application fee
The application fee for the Railway RRC SER Various Trade Apprentice 2023 is INR 100 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PH categories are exempted from any fee. Additionally, all female candidates, irrespective of category, are also exempt from the application fee. The examination fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking only.

Mode of selection
Candidates will be selected based on a trade-wise merit list, considering all applicants for the notification in their respective trades. The merit list for each trade will be compiled based on the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation, with a minimum requirement of 50% aggregate marks.
