Saltburn star finally gives verdict on ‘Jacob Elordi’s Bathwater’ scented candle alongisde Jimmy Fallon

It’s official — star of Saltburn Jacob Elordi has finally sniffed his own personal scent, throwing in the towel and giving the people what they wanted in an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock since mid-December, you would have heard the hoopla around the gothic thriller’s release in which the Aussie actor played the insatiable Felix Catton.

Such was the show’s swift rise to cult-like status, fans quickly began picking apart scenes and moments that triggered them — while others turned a profit out of the film’s shock factor in the form of household ornaments.

One item causing mass hysteria has been the series of endless “Jacob Elordi’s Bathwater” scented candles from that bathtub scene, with fans of the film keen to catch a whiff of whatever it is Elordi is “selling”.

For those that haven’t seen the film, or choose not to relive it — the candles were created following Barry Keoghan’s unhinged character, Oliver Quick’s decision to slurp up the remaining bath water after Felix had gratified himself in it moments earlier.

Yes, it’s as disturbing as it sounds.

But faced with the item on live TV, Fallon offered Elordi a chance to set the record straight and give a review of a scent he theoretically should know quite well.

Recounting the star’s recent rise to fame, Fallon segued into the film and slippery subject with a coy Elordi.

“There is this bathtub scene. It inspired people to release Jacob Elordi Bathwater candles. Have you seen these at all?” he asked.

To which the the 26-year-old suggested his colleague from film Priscilla, in which he played Elvis, sent him videos of fan creations stemming from the film.

“I want to know who’s making the money, you know? I must be rich! Where’s my money?” joked the star.

Continuing, the host asked Elordi the question on everybody’s lips: “Do you want to smell your own candle?”
