Italian luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo has opened a new Canadian storefront in Toronto.
Spanning 5,305-square-feet, the new Ferragamo store features a transitional design that integrates special materials such as travertine and elevated bronze into its construction – a modern update to Ferragamo’s existing retail concepts, influenced by the direction of creative director Maximilian Davis.
The flagship houses Ferragamo’s range of apparel, leather goods, footwear, silk items and other accessories for both men and women, as well as licensed eyewear, watches, and fragrances. Customers will equally find exclusive products not available in other Ferragamo locations in Canada.
The store is located at The Colonnade at 131 Bloor Street West, which stands as a heritage-protected property and Canada’s first mixed-use building, and is owned and managed by Morguard.
“It is our great pleasure to welcome Ferragamo to The Colonnade,” said David Wyatt, senior vice president, Retail at Morguard. “The addition of Ferragamo to 131 Bloor Street West has strengthened our position in the luxury retail leasing market while highlighting our best-in class property management.”
This marks the fourth Ferragamo boutique in Canada. The first Canadian Ferragamo store opened in Vancouver, in the spring of 1981. For years, this Vancouver store stood as the sole standalone Ferragamo location across the country, until 2013, when Ferragamo expanded its Canadian presence with a store in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Next, in the summer of 2016, Ferragamo opened a store at Square One in Mississauga.
