The upcoming lineup is said to include three models — Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. An in-person live event will take place for the first time in three years. The Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event will be held in San Francisco, and will begin at 11.30pm IST (10am PST) on February 1.

Samsung shared an invitation for its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event on January 11. The event will start at 11:30pm IST on February 1 and it will be live-streamed via its website, Newsroom site and Youtube Channel. This will be the first in-person Galaxy Unpacked event since the COVID-19 pandemic. The date had previously also appeared as part of some rumours.

The 2023 Galaxy S series phones, which are expected to be called the Galaxy S23 series, will make their debut at the event. The company says that the “new Galaxy S series will be the epitome of how we define the ultimate premium experience. We’re raising the bar and setting new standards for what’s epic.”

The upcoming Samsung flagship lineup is tipped to include the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S23 variant, alongside the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra models. The upcoming smartphones are expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood.

The Galaxy S23 series has been a part of leaks for quite a long time. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are expected to feature a triple camera setup at the rear, while Galaxy S23 Ultra could sport a quad rear camera unit led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. The Galaxy S23 and the Galaxy S23+ are tipped to come in 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage models, while Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to be offered in 12GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. Further new handsets are said to have a similar price tag to the Galaxy S22 lineup.

Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) CEO TM Roh is rumoured to unveil a “Galaxy dedicated chip” at the event.
