The South African Social Security Agency’s (SASSA) new payment cycle is about to begin next week.

As the norm, the elderly grant beneficiaries will be paid out first on Friday, 2 February. Individuals who earn a disability grant can expect to receive their monies on Monday, 5 Fennruary while the child grant willl be paid from Tuesday 6, February.
Grant monies can still be accessed at the South Africa Post Office, canpaymetpoints ade supermarkerts, such as Checkers and Spar. However, the service will begin to be phased out.
Beneficiaries and community members are being advised about the phasing out of the Cash Pay Points and Cash payment in Post Offices by March 2024″, the agency wrote on their social media pages.
GOLD CARDS
Owners of the SASSA Postbank gold cards do not have to worry about renewing their cards as its validity has been extended.

In a statement Postbank spokesperson Bongani Diako, urges beneficiaries to report anyone who may be misleading them.
” Report anyone telling you to change to another bank,claiming that your SASSA Gold Card won’t work and that your cards are being replaced,” says Diako.
He emphasized, ” Remember only postbank is authorisesd to replaceyour SASSA gold card.
