SBI CBO Exam Date 2023: The State Bank of India has released the exam date for the SBI CBO Recruitment 2023. Candidates who have registered for the Circle Based Officers (CBO) can check the exam schedule here or on the official website at sbi.co.in.
As per the notification, the SBI CBO 2023 online examination will be conducted on January 21, 2024. The State Bank of India aims to fill a total of 5447 vacancies for the post of Circle Based Officers through this recruitment drive. Out of these vacancies, 5280 are regular vacancies and the remaining 167 are backlog vacancies.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of Online Test, Screening and Interview.
(a) Online Test
The online test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
(i) Objective Test: The duration of the objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 sections of total of 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.
(ii) Descriptive Test: The duration of the Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks. There will be no sectional qualifying marks. There is minimum qualifying marks on aggregate and the minimum qualifying marks will be as decided by the Bank.
(b) Screening
Online application and documents of candidates, who qualified in the online examination, will be placed before the Screening Committee.
(c) Interview
The interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
Final Selection
The candidates will have to qualify both in the Online Test and Interview separately. The marks obtained in the Online Test, both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in the Interview for preparing the final merit list. The final merit list would be prepared based on normalisation of marks scored in the Online Test and Interview with 75:25 weightage respectively.
Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.
