The State Bank of India (SBI), on November 16, announced the notification for clerk recruitment. The application window for 8773 SBI clerk posts has started from today at the official website at sbi.co.in. Candidates can apply till the 7th of December. SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility: Nationality
The candidates willing to apply for SBI Clerk 2023 must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements before initiating the SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility online application form. The SBI Clerk eligibility criteria include Nationality, Educational Qualification, and age limit. Candidates between the age group 20 years to 28 years, must have obtained 60% marks in Graduation, to apply for the post.

In terms of nationality, the applicant has to be an Indian citizen, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement. A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, or Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India is also eligible to apply. Every category, except the Indian citizens need to have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour
SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates applying for the position must possess a legitimate undergraduate degree from a recognized university, irrespective of their field of study.
  • Former Matriculate servicemen who have completed a minimum of 15 years in the Armed Forces of the Union and obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force can also apply.
  • For the SBI Clerk exam, familiarity with computer operations is a prerequisite, ensuring candidates have adequate computer literacy.

SBI Clerk 2023 Eligibility: Age Limit
General candidates should be in the age bracket of 20-28 years to be eligible to apply for the SBI clerk post. However, there is age relaxation for several categories, according to the government rules. Check them out.

OBC: 31 years
Person with disabilities (General): 38 years
Person with disabilities (SC/ST): 43 years
Person with disabilities (OBC): 41 years
Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in defence services + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-servicemen belonging to SC/ST), subject to max. age of 50 years
Widows, Divorced women (No remarried): 7 years (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General/ EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates)
