SBI Warns Applicants: SBI warns applicants about fake selection lists on websites

The State Bank of India (SBI) has issued a notification cautioning applicants about fraudulent websites releasing fake lists of selected candidates for bank appointments. The bank wants to emphasize that it never announces the names of shortlisted candidates. To verify the authenticity of any communication, applicants are advised to cross-check information from the websites mentioned in the notification.
According to the official notification released by SBI, there are reports indicating that certain individuals engaged in fraudulent activities have developed websites mimicking official SBI sites. These fraudulent websites have disseminated false lists of individuals selected for SBI positions, and there are instances of counterfeit appointment letters purportedly issued by SBI.
SBI further clarifies that it only publishes the roll numbers and registration numbers of the candidates selected for any post. They inform shortlisted candidates individually through SMS, email, or post. All recruitment-related information, such as notices, interview schedules, and final results, are only published on the official SBI website.
The notice available on the official website reads, ” Only roll numbers/registration numbers are published and shortlisted/selected candidates are informed individually through SMS/Email/Post. All details regarding recruitment e.g. notice, interview schedule, final result etc., are published only on https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and https://bank.sbi/careers.”
