New Delhi: The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are underway – this year, the polls are being conducted in a total of seven phases, spanning over two months – from April 19 to June 1, 2024. The results are expected to be announced after the counting of votes on June 4, 2024. Three out of the seven phases have been completed – first on April 19, second on April 26 and the third phase on May 7 and now, the country is gearing up for the fourth phase on May 13, during which, voting will be conducted in 96 Lok Sabha constituencies of ten states and one union territory. On the day of polling in each phase, it is the schools in the constituencies, that are turned into temporary polling booths and this is why, students are given a school holiday on the day of polling. As mentioned earlier, the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be conducted on May 13, 2024 across 96 constituencies of ten states and a UT. Schools in the areas of polling will be converted into temporary polling booths and thus there will be no classes on that day.   1. Andhra Pradesh – 25 Constituencies: Chittoor, Araku, Rajampet, Srikakulam, Thirupathi, Vizianagaram, Nellore, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, Anakapalli, Nandyal, Kakinada, Ongole, Amalapuram, Bapatla, Rajahmundry, Narasaraopet, Narsapuram, Guntur, Eluru, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam.
  2. Bihar: Munger, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Samastipur, Ujiarpur.
  3. Jammu and Kashmir: Srinagar
  4. Madhya Pradesh: Khandwa, Dewas, Khargone, Ujjain, Indore, Mandsour, Dhar, Ratlam.
  5. Maharashtra: Beed, Nandurbhar, Shirdi, Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, Raver, Shirur, Jalna, Pune, Aurangabad, Maval.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Full Schedule

The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is being conducted in a total of seven phases, out of which, three phases have been completed. The first phase took place on April 19, second on April 26 and the third phase was conducted on May 7. Phase 4 will take place on May 13 with voting in 96 constituencies across 10 states; 20th May is the date for phase 5 when voting will take place in eight states at 49 constituencies; the sixth phase will take place on May 25 with polling in 57 constituencies of seven states and the last phase will be on June 1 with voting in 57 constituencies across eight states. The counting of votes, i.e. result declaration will happen on June 4, 2024.
