Police are searching for a 12-year-old girl last seen in Perth’s southern suburbs as her parents raise fears she has been taken.
Shontae Cassin was last seen in the Hillman area — near Rockingham — on Sunday morning but she has not been heard from since.
She is without a phone and only a laptop and her parents fear the worst after she failed to meet a friend at Warnbro Station as planned.
Her parents told 7NEWS she had been messaging people on Discord — a chatroom platform for gamers — before she vanished.
“They can use it for other things and there are predators and they’re not monitored,” her mum, Tegan, said.
She added she is concerned her daughter had been taken. Her friends know the girl as Shontae Castano.
Mandurah police say she is around 160cm tall with shoulder-length brown hair. Shontae is believed to be wearing dark clothing.
“She is known to frequent Rockingham and Perth CDB areas,” police said.
