‘Sing it’ – ex-Rangers star takes his family to Disneyland California and spots sign that reminds him of Ibrox days

HARRY FORRESTER has taken to social media to share a Rangers tribute while on a family holiday at Disneyland California – six years after he left the club.

Forrester exited Rangers in 2018 after he was banished from training with the first team by former manager, Pedro Caixinha.

The 33-year old made 44 appearances for Rangers, scoring eight goals.

But it appears he hasn’t forgotten his time at Ibrox.

Posting on his Instagram account, Forrester shared a post on a family trip to Disneyland California.

The image shows a ‘Penny Arcade’ within Disneyland, with the caption ‘Sing It’.

The post refers to the Roy Orbison song adopted by the Rangers support, and often played before home matches at Ibrox.

During his time at Rangers, Forrester picked up two trophies.

He won the Scottish Championship under Mark Warburton.

He also lifted the Petrofac Training Cup – now known as the SPFL Trust Trophy.

Rangers defeated Peterhead 4-0 in the final at Hampden, in 2016.

But that was a game that would ultimately de-rail Forrester’s Ibrox career.

Forrester fractured his leg in the final – and his season was over.

Pedro Caixinha took over a year later, and completely overhauled the playing squad – and unfortunately for Forrester, he was not a part of the Portuguese’s plans.

Rangers signed Fabio Cardoso, Dalcio, Bruno Alves, Daniel Candeias, Eduardo Herrera, Carlos Pena, Graham Dorrans, and Ryan Jack in his first window.

Whilst Forrester headed for the Middle East, joining Iranian club Tractor Sazi.

In other Rangers news, Philippe Clement’s summer transfer window took another blow, as Abdallah Sima completed a loan move to Champions League side Brest.

Sima was firmly on Clement’s summer wish list, but a lack of financial muscle following the Gers’ Champions League exit to Dynamo Kyiv meant a return to Ibrox was going to be unlikely.

Now, Sima has completed a deal to return to France – where he spent a season at Angers – and compete in the most prestigious competition in Europe, for a shot at breaking into the Brighton squad on his return.
