Some stolen items returned in Rose Bowl locker room theft case, police say – Daily News

Several items stolen from Colorado Buffaloes players in their locker room at the Rose Bowl during the UCLA-Buffaloes game on Saturday, Oct. 28 have been returned, but the investigation continues, Pasadena police said Friday, Nov. 3.

They also said the suspects in the case are juveniles.

“Additional items of interest have been identified and are actively being pursued,” Pasadena city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said..

After the game on Sunday, a group of Buffaloes players said some of their possessions, including jewelry, had been pilfered.

One person said a chain he recently bought was missing. “I just got mine, bro. I had the jewelry box and everything. They took it out of my jewelry box,” he said in a video on YouTube.

Colorado safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig posted in all caps on X: “In locker room you would think your stuff safe man its crazy.”

On Friday, police officers executed at least one search warrant at an undisclosed location, where some items were recovered.

The investigation was boosted by calls from the public tipping officers to the location of the goods, Derderian said. But she could not say specifically what was recovered, or the monetary value.

As of Friday evening, it also was unclear how many items were returned, and exactly what information that was provided to police led them to the suspects.

Derderian did say no one was currently in custody.

The players discovered their items were taken when they returned to the locker room after the Saturday game, which UCLA won, 28-16.
