Here’s something you didn’t know about the Economic Freedom Fighters.

The Economic Freedom Fighters can be called many different things, and stylish might be one of them.

They’re a political party well known for their uniforms, which include the addition of red berets that can make a mass of EFF supporters look like an ocean of people.

But who designed their logo, which contains a portrayal of the African continent – with a hand holding a spear up to the sky?

According to Brands of the World, the EFF logo was designed by Phelo Ndala, a graphic designer and head artist.

It might have become one of the most famous political pictures in the country, but you might not have known who designed it!

About the EFF

According to SA History Online, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) first started in 2013 – and the official Manifesto for the party was drafted in 2014.

The party has been subjected to some controversy over the years, including statements by (and directed at) the founder Julius Malema.

Some of the founding principles include “anti-capitalist” thought, and the controversial issue of nationalising certain fuctions.
