Sosandar on Friday confirmed its Interim Non-Executive Chairman in the role permanently with Nick Mustoe clearly having done a good job since he was drafted in back in March.

He took on the temporary post following the sudden death of the fast-growing womenswear firm’s Non-Executive Chairman Bill Murray in February.
The company also said that Jon Wragg, an Independent Non-Executive Director, has notified the board of his intention to step down “in order to focus on other commitments, and with the company’s agreement, has done so with immediate effect”.
Mustoe said he was “delighted to be appointed as permanent Chair of Sosandar. We are at a very exciting moment in our growth journey as we take Sosandar’s unique product to more people across the globe through multiple channels”. He also thanked Wragg for his contribution and his “sound counsel and advice throughout”.
While the word “exciting” is somewhat overused in press releases, there’s no denying that it really is an interesting and exciting period for the company. It’s still growing fast and widening its distribution, moving into third-party physical spaces (such as its deal with Sainsbury’s) and planning to open its own stores for the first time.
In 2024, it will open stores in “affluent towns with thriving high streets where Sosandar customers over-index”.
And it has signed deals to expand in Australia and Canada. Having launched international sales via the Global-e platform, it’s already available outside of the UK. But it has now signed deals with The Iconic in Australia and The Bay in Canada that see it exceeding its previously stated target of launching with one such partner this financial year.
