A shocking video has emerged of disgustingly dirty water available to festival-goers at a Perth music festival on Sunday.
The Bell Tower Times posted the video on Facebook with the caption, “Stay hydrated at spilt milk”, showing a person filling up their water bottle and watching as the contents progressively get darker.
Unsurprisingly, the video attracted a flurry of equally amazed and shocked comments, with some saying they’d “rather die of heatstroke”.
Another said it looks like “bong water on tap”.
While one more said, “Nothing is free.” “If you want clean water, pay for it.”
One commenter seemingly had an explanation for the disgusting dirty water.
“It’s just loose rust and whatever crap that was inside those pipes when they first put it together from storage,” they said.
“Someone forgot to purge those lines when they were done.”
Three days into summer, with the weather reaching a top of 26C, attendees would’ve been flocking to the taps to ensure they stayed hydrated throughout the day.
The festival was held at the Claremont Showgrounds on Sunday and was headlined by worldwide names such as Post Malone and Dom Dolla.
Earlier, Post Malone was met by eager fans as he arrived in Perth early Sunday morning ahead of the WA leg of his world tour extravaganza.
Also known as Austin Post, he was seemingly keen to catch up on some sleep as he stepped out of Perth airport in his PJs ahead of his appearance at Sunday night’s WA music festival Spilt Milk at Claremont Showgrounds.
The 27-year-old US rapper made headlines during his last visit to Perth after he was refused entry into The QT for his tattoos.
Postie opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers at Optus Stadium in February, and before the show, he checked out Perth’s nightlife away from his busy tour schedule only to be kicked out by security.
“They turned me away for my tattoos … I’ve never really experienced anything like that,” he told The West Australian at the time while waiting to enter another venue.
QT Perth’s dress code strongly prohibits “face, neck and offensive tattoos”, according to the venue, so it’s safe to say the rapper and his entourage will steer clear.
Sunday night’s concert marked the end of his world-tour extravaganza If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying after a total of 44 shows across the globe.
Spilt Milk and Kicks Entertainment did not respond to requests for comment.
