SSC JE 2024 admit card out for Paper I: Check exam pattern, syllabus, marking scheme and admit card link

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to conduct the Paper I exam for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2024, on 5th, 6th and 7th June, 2024. Earlier, this exam, aimed at filling 968 vacancies, was scheduled to be conducted from June 4, 2024 to June 6, 2024. The rescheduling was necessitated by the Lok Sabha election.

The SSC released the admit cards for the SSC JE recruitment exam on 26th May for the Northern Region, Eastern Region, North-Western Sub-region, Karnataka-Kerala (KKR) Region, North-East (NER) Region, Western Region and Southern Region. Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The SSC JE exam consists of two Papers: Paper I and Paper II. While Paper consists of objective type questions, Paper II will have descriptive questions.
Paper I:The total marks for this paper is 200. It comprises objective type questions from these subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering (civil & structural, electrical and mechanical). The exam duration will be 2 hours and the questions will be available in both the languages: Hindi and English. The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Marking Scheme

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in Paper-I. Each correct answer will be awarded with 1 mark. However, Paper-II being a descriptive paper, it does not have any kind of negative marking for wrong answers. The marks for each question will be rewarded based on the weightage of the question.
