SCOTLAND has been hit with heavy snow, torrential rain and monstrous winds as Storm Gerrit battered the nation.
The Met Office has issued four yellow warnings across Scotland, with more covering the rest of the UK.
An alert for heavy rain and snow is in place across the east coast, central belt and the Highlands from 6am until 9pm today.
A yellow warning for wind has also been issued across the west coast, east coast and the Highlands from 3am today until midnight.
While the south of Scotland has been warned to brace for heavy rain with a third warning in place between 3am and 6pm.
The wild weather has caused flooding and blizzards across the country.
And it’s caused havoc on the roads with closures, restrictions, and a few accidents this morning.
Trains have also been cancelled as trees on the line and downpours took their toll on railway lines.
