“Coraline” is back in theaters, as part of the 15th anniversary celebrations of the hit 2009 stop-motion film, and the re-release has spurred renewed sales of the original movie online.
Amazon has a limited-edition steelbook version of “Coraline” available for $20, and it’s selling quickly, with more than 700 copies sold in the last few weeks alone, per the site. The Blu-ray edition of “Coraline” has also returned to number one on Amazon’s kids and family movies chart.

Coraline – Limited Edition Steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray
The steelbook release gets you the original “Coraline” film restored and upscaled to 4K Ultra HD quality, along with a new Dolby Atmos 7.1 audio mix. The two-disc Blu-ray set also includes deleted scenes, original featurettes, a “making of” special, and interviews with director Henry Selick and composter Bruno Coulais. Fans can also scroll through storyboards from the film and view behind-the-scenes photos.

The original version of “Coraline” is also on sale right now at Amazon and Target. This set gets you the animated film on Blu-ray/DVD for under $12.
How to Watch “Coraline” Online
If you don’t have a Blu-ray player or prefer to stream the film, “Coraline” is available to own as a digital download for $12 on Prime Video. The deal gets you an HD version of the Oscar-nominated film that is yours to keep once you download it. This version also comes with bonus features.
You can also purchase “Coraline” on Apple for $12.99 here. As of now, there is no way to rent “Coraline,” so the only way to watch the stop-motion film online is to order it through a VOD streaming service.
Directed by Henry Selick (best known for directing “The Nightmare Before Christmas”), “Coraline” is based on the 2002 book of the same name by Neil Gaiman. Starring the voices of Dakota Fanning and Teri Hatcher, “Coraline” debuted to critical acclaim, and was nominated for “Best Animated Feature” at the 2009 Academy Awards.
As production company Laika says in its release notes, “Coraline Jones is bored in her new home until she finds a secret door that leads into a world that’s just like her own…but better! But when this fantastical adventure turns dangerous and her ‘other’ mother tries to keep her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness and bravery to get home.”
