BOSSES at TNT Sports have refused to comment on rugby ace Stuart Hogg’s future with the broadcaster following his arrest, it has emerged.

Hogg, 31, landed a pundit’s chair as a rugby expert with the station after he retired from the sport last year.

But telly chiefs refused to say if he’ll continue to be part of the team alongside the likes of women’s game star Emily Scarratt covering the Gallagher Premiership.

Hogg hasn’t been on duty recently due to the Six Nations tournament which means there have been no top flight matches played since the weekend of January 27-28.

The last live game broadcast by TNT Sports was Gloucester vs Sale on Sunday, January 28.

A spokesman for the TV firm said: “It would not be appropriate for us to comment at this time.”

We told how the ex-Scotland rugby captain was arrested at his estranged wife’s house for alleged threatening or abusive behaviour.

Cops were called to the retired legend’s former family home in Hawick, Roxburghshire, that ex Gillian, 36, shares with their four kids.

Hogg was nicked hours after celebrating his ex-teammates’ Calcutta Cup win over England with famous pals including actor Martin Compston and TV’s MasterChef host Gregg Wallace.

The rugby ace had shared snaps on his Instagram page taken in the hospitality zone at Murrayfield following Scotland’s Six Nations triumph on Saturday.

He wrote: “What a day. What a result. Cracking performance from the lads.”

Police arrested him on Sunday, February 23, over claims he caused fear and alarm by acting in a threatening or abusive manner.

A report has been submitted to prosecutors ahead of an expected court appearance at a date still to be determined.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged. He was released on an undertaking to appeal at Jedburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.”

We told in November how Hogg split from Gillian before going public with his new love, former jockey Leonna Mayor, 33, days after his wife gave birth to their fourth child.

The British and Irish Lion tied the knot with Gillian in 2016 at Barony Castle in Peeblesshire.

He is one of Scotland’s most celebrated rugby stars having earned 100 caps and become our all-time leading try scorer.

He was awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours list for services to rugby.
