Suede, Jessie J, Corinne Bailey Rae headline Macau’s KoolTai music festival – a packed, full-day affair
Veteran alternative rock band Suede, pop singer Jessie J, Grammy winner Corinne Bailey Rae and host of acts from Hong Kong, Macau, mainland China and beyond took to the stage at the Cotai Arena in Macau over the weekend at the first KoolTai music festival.
Jessie J was a massive hit with the audience, which did not need much prompting to get on their feet and start dancing. The “Price Tag” singer inserted an extra song into her set as a thank you for people’s patience. Photo: Clark Ainsworth

Crowds at the 15,000-seat venue were at times spartan, and the festival overran by more than an hour, but the music mix, which ranged from indie rock to bossa nova and Cantopop, proved a hit with the audience.
