Taking to Instagram, Nat shared a selfie as she was preparing to attend her 18-year-old son Hunter’s Year 12 speech night.

“Last speech night,” she wrote.
“When they say the days go slow but the years go fast, they mean it.
“Packed the tissues.”
“Why do our kids grow up so fast?,” one follower wrote.
“Wishing you a memorable night.”
“Been there,” wrote another.
“Cherish the new beginnings as well.”
The post struck a chord with many of Nat’s 112,000 followers.
Former Seven star Sally Obermeder dropped two teary-eyed emojis, while another follower encouraged Nat to “enjoy tonight and the incredible young men you have raised”.
Apart from Hunter, Nat and her husband Andrew have another son, Lachlan.
The Sunrise co-host regularly talks about the mixed emotions she feels watching her sons growing up so quickly.
In September, she was interviewing Miranda Kerr, who had just revealed she was pregnant with her fourth child, when she choked up talking about Hunter’s last day at school.
“So I know it gets busy but make the most of it,” Nat advised the model and beauty mogul.
“Because then you’ll be crying like I will be next week when they have their assembly.”
In 2021, Nat appeared in an Australian Women’s Weekly photo shoot with her boys, telling the magazine that her family was incredibly important to her.
“My boys and my husband are my life,” she said.
“I may have this amazing career, but they are my number one priority and they always have been.
“Andrew and the boys come first.
“Of course, I have always been able to run out the door to cover a story when I need to, but I only ever did that when the boys were old enough to deal with it and to be left at home.”
Cruise control
And speaking of popping out to cover a story, Nat had to leave the Sunrise studio on Tuesday morning to interview a very famous person.
The TV star had secured an exclusive interview with Sir Richard Branson, who is in Sydney to launch his Virgin Voyages cruise ship in Australia.
Later, Nat humblebragged about bunking off the Sunrise newdesk to chat with Branson.
“That morning when I dumped @mattshirvo for @richardbranson on the deck of his newest @virginvoyages 🚢 Resilient Lady,” she wrote on Instagram, sharing a series of pictures from the day and video of her making a cocktail.
“(Oh and I make cocktails now 😭thanks Jimmy!)
“A big hi to all the viewers we met onboard.”
Viewers loved the pictures — and Nat’s interview with Branson.
“Great interview Nat!” one fan said.
“You are fabulous,” wrote another.
“Tough job,” joked a third.
