When The White Lotus actor Sydney Sweeney graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new film, Anyone but You, all eyes were on her crystal Miu Miu gown. But, for the eagle-eyed among us, her bejeweled nails–which were the perfect match for her Miu Miu—were a mesmerizing statement all of their own.

Although it’s not the first time Sweeney has opted for bejeweled fingertips–her nails at this year’s Met Gala were also adorned with gems perfected by LA nail artist Zola Ganzorigt–they were a glamorous choice for now, and ideal if you want to nod to the festivities in a way that feels a little more chic than traditional Christmas designs.

To get the look, choose a nude base shade that’s a close match to your skin shade–anything that’s too different makes a statement in itself and here you want to let the crystals do the talking. When it comes to the placement of your gems, haphazard is the way to go. Mix it up with a blend of smaller, more subtle stones and larger 3D ones, and be random about where you glue them down; the overall effect should be a smattering of sparkle as opposed to anything too uniform. Finally, finish with two coats of top coat for essential shine and also to keep the jewels in place.
