TCU turning the page to No. 9 Oklahoma after heartbreaking Kansas loss | Fort Worth Star-Telegram
TCU is turning the page after the controversial finish against No. 2 Kansas on Saturday.
The Horned Frogs were 60 seconds away from upsetting the Jayhawks in Allen Fieldhouse for a second straight year, but a flagrant foul on Ernest Udeh flipped the tenor of the 83-81 loss.
It would be easy to sulk, but the Horned Frogs have already moved on to the next challenge, No. 9 Oklahoma at 8 p.m. Wednesday. There’s no time to lament over questionable calls when you have a top-10 opponent rolling into town.

The Sooners will face their first true road test of the season against a dangerous Horned Frogs team that’s 11-3 overall and coming off a close loss to that same Kansas team.
TCU is undefeated in Schollmaier Arena and has won its last two meetings with the Sooners in Fort Worth.
The Sooners have played four games away from the Lloyd Noble Center this season at neutral sites and are 3-1 in those games.

Preview: at No. 10 Texas | TCU Athletics
TCU is set for its second road tilt opposite an Associated Press top-10 opponent in as many weeks when it battles No. 10 Texas at 7 p.m. on Wednesday inside the Moody Center.
The Horned Frogs and Longhorns are playing their penultimate game as Big 12 adversaries. Texas will return the game with a Feb. 10 visit to Schollmaier Arena.

“We’re going to be a multiple front defense, we’ve lived in that world for a few years now,” Avalos said.
“It’s not always going to be an open book test for the offense. We’ve got to be multiple to create different presentations, so that’s been a big part of what we’ve done. It’s what we did at Oregon and were building at Boise.”
“It just felt like the league was changing and we wanted to be more multiple in some of the things we do,” Dykes said. “I sat down with Joe a couple of times and talked about my vision and I wasn’t completely sure we had the same vision going forward.”
Dykes said he wanted to be more aggressive on defense and wanted somebody that would be the ‘head coach’ of the defense on the field and with recruiting.

Having spent too much on the major league bullpen over the last couple of seasons, pitchers like Wright (with recent Power 5 conference and World Series experience) can potentially move through the minors quickly. Although Wright has yet to pitch in pro ball, don’t be surprised if the organization is aggressive with his affiliate assignment by starting him in Kannapolis in 2024.

So the Grizzlies were not only massive underdogs, but massively motivated to give this game, in particular, their best shot.
They did exactly that, dominating Dallas for the majority of the contest and cruising to a 120-103 victory.
Several players stepped up and gave the Grizzlies massive minutes and a masterful performance.
Atop the list was Bane, who scored 32 points in a de facto homecoming because he played his college basketball at TCU.
The Grizzlies guard considers Dallas his second home. In fact, he said Sunday that plans to buy a house in the city.
Is American Airlines Center available to purchase? He has scored 30 more points in each of his last two visits.
He still hasn’t forgiven the Mavericks for passing on him in the 2020 NBA draft.
“They were supposed to take me,” Bane said. “You know that. The PA guy came up and apologized. He said he thinks about it every day.
