A TEENAGER has been hospitalised after a late-night stabbing, sparking a police probe.
The 17-year-old was attacked by two men with blades in Edinburgh on Friday.
The serious assault happened on Craigentinny Road, close to Christiemillar Avenue, around 11.20pm.
He was blue-lighted by ambulance to the city’s Royal Infirmary for emergency treatment.
The suspects are described as wearing black clothing.
They ran from the scene onto Loaning Road.
Cops are appealing to the public for help with their ongoing enquiries.
They have urged anyone who was on Craigentinny Road around the time of the attack to contact police.
They have also called for anyone who has heard anything suspicious or knows the suspects to get in touch.
Detective inspector Dougal Begg said: “A young man suffered serious injuries and we need to trace those responsible as soon as possible.
