Thornlie road rage: Police lay charges over peak hour Spencer Road attack

Police have laid charges over a shocking road rage attack that unfolded in Perth’s south-eastern suburbs this week.

Footage of the attack — which aired on 7NEWS on Tuesday night — showed a man laying numerous punches through a car window, only stopping when bystanders intervened.

The video showed the man in a white shirt ignoring pleas to stop and unleashing both fists on a fellow driver who missed the green light during peak hour in Thornlie.

In a statement, WA Police confirmed it had carried out an investigation into the video and had pressed charges.

“Canning Vale Police have charged a man in relation to a road rage incident in Thornlie on Wednesday, 20 December 2023,” a police spokeswoman said.
