Tiffany Haddish has been arrested for a DUI after reportedly falling asleep behind the wheel of her car.
The comedian, 43, was apprehended in Beverly Hills on Friday morning, The Post has learned.
While she wasn’t involved in an actual accident, authorities received a call at about 5:45 a.m. about a person who was stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive just north of Dayton Way, Beverly Hills Police Lt. Chris Coulter told The Post.
As of Friday morning, Haddish was still being processed in the jail. That could take hours because drivers arrested for DUI have to submit to chemical tests, Coulter said.
Haddish was allegedly hunched over the car wheel as the vehicle’s engine was still running. Per TMZ photos, she was arrested at the scene and was spotted wearing handcuffs.
“My understanding is she was parked in the lanes of traffic,” Coulter told The Post. Haddish was arrested at about 7 a.m. after an investigation was conducted, the officer said.
The outlet reports that she will be released later on Friday. The Post has reached out to Haddish’s rep for comment.
One day earlier, she performed at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood for the club’s 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.
The comedian, who turns 44 on Dec. 3, is scheduled to perform tonight at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach.
This isn’t the first time Haddish has had trouble with the law. In January 2022, she was was arrested in Georgia on suspicion that she was driving under the influence.
At the time, she was arrested for seemingly driving under the influence and was found dozing off behind the wheel.
Police were called about a driver that was on the road and was napping at the time. Authorities believed that she was smoking pot prior to driving and was brought to Fayette County Jail.
The “Haunted Mansion” star was later released that same day on a $1,666 bond.
Shortly after her arrest, Haddish addressed the incident on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“I can say this, Jimmy … I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man,” she said. “And God went ahead and sent me four … in uniform.”
She added that her lawyer was dealing with the legal ramifications.
“And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out,” Haddish said. “I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!”
