The footage shows the tiger shark appear out of nowhere as it quickly chases a turtle to the shore with its striped long body on full display as it splashes around to push itself back into the ocean.

“Didn’t expect this to happen,” the caption read.

The footage attracted more than 400 comments from fellow snorkelling enthusiasts.

“For all those people who insist that sharks don’t go into shallow waters. They’ll go wherever they like,” one person wrote.

“Beautiful Tiger Shark,” someone said.

The tourist hotspot is famous for its incredible wild dolphin experience — however, this footage is a great reminder that sharks can still be lurking no matter where you are.

Perth authorities have been forced to close multiple beaches over the summer season due to multiple shark sightings.
