JORT van der Sande is expected to become a Dundee United player within the next 48-hours.
SunSport can reveal the ADO Den Haag hitman, 28, has flown to Scotland to complete a move first revealed by us last week.
He arrived earlier today and is expected to complete talks on personal terms ahead of a planned medical tomorrow and potential unveiling by Friday.
Van der Sande was immediately keen to head for Tannadice the first moment he heard of United boss Jim Goodwin’s interest.
Goodwin’s been anxious to bolster his experienced frontline options ahead of their return to the Premiership and didn’t hesitate to act on a tip that Den Haag head coach Darije Kalezic was prepared to let the powerful frontman go this summer.
Van der Sande only joined the Dutch second tier outfit last summer and had a decent campaign.

But losing his place in the team towards the end of the season left him unsettled and after discussions with Kalezic it was agreed he could leave with United expected to pay a fee.
He’s scored goals throughout his 10-year career outside of the top flight Eredivisie, also playing for Den Bosch, FC Eindhoven and NAC Breda.
Netherlands-born Van der Sande plays for the national team of Bonaire, a Carribean island and Dutch colony, which is a member of CONCACAF but not Fifa.
It is home to a population of just 24,090 people and was part of the Netherlands Antilles until that country’s dissolution in 2010.
Bonaire sits off the coast of Venezuela and along with neighbouring islands Aruba and Curacao, forms the ABC Islands within the Caribbean.
The teams compete with Suriname for a local island tournament Bonaire last won in 2011.
The capital is Kralendijk but the national football stadium is a tiny 1,500-seater ground, Stadion Antonio Trenidat, located in Rincon.
New Tannadice man Van der Sande was born in the Netherlands but was eligible for Bonaire due to him living on the Caribbean island for five years during his youth.
He will be the first player from his national team to play in the Scottish Premiership – indeed, in Scottish football at all.
