Tuesday Oz Lotto jackpot: Hunt on for WA winner who took out entire division one $20 million prize

The hunt is on for a lucky West Aussie who has taken out a stunning multi-million dollar prize in Tuesday night’s Lotto jackpot.

One sandgroper has scooped up the entire $20 million prize from the Oz Lotto jackpot, the only division one winner across the country.

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said because the winning prize was so huge, Lotterywest would hold off sharing the exact location of where the ticket was sold to protect the lucky player — who is yet to cash in.

“What I can share is the division one winning ticket was sold in the metropolitan area, is a single entry ticket, and is not registered,” Mr Mooney said.

“Last night’s draw also produced more than 46,000 other WA winners across the other divisions, so either way it’s best to check your ticket.

This takes WA’s division one wins this year to a massive 51.

It follows news of an Ellenbrook man’s “impulse” decision to buy a Lotto ticket while his girlfriend was shopping leading to a $1 million win in early July.

In June, a Perth man in his 60s claimed a $2 million share of a $30 million Saturday Lotto megadraw, while another winner described searching her garbage bin for a $1 million-winning ticket.
