TWO Manchester United defenders are allegedly being “lined up by Everton” with the Red Devils still looking to sign Jarrad Branthwaite.
Erik ten Hag’s side had a £35million bid rejected by the Toffees for the centre-back earlier this month.
And the Goodison Park side are holding firm with their £70m valuation of the 21-year-old England international.
The star shone under Sean Dyche this term and that led to him making Gareth Southgate’s provisional squad for Euro 2024, only to ultimately miss out on the final cut.
We reported this week that Man Utd will not make another attempt to sign Branthwaite.
And that will only change if they get the nod from Everton that they are willing to negotiate on the £70m fee.

They claim that Everton could potentially be making moves for a couple of United men.
The report states that the Merseyside outfit are “one of a number of clubs interested” in Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The 26-year-old right-back signed from Crystal Palace for £50m in 2019 and initially shone, making the highest number of tackles in the Premier League during his first season.

He played 30 times last season but Inter Milan have been eyeing a cut-price £13m swoop with the full-back only having a year left on his deal.
This fresh update also claims that he is wanted by Galatasaray as well as Everton.
But it also says “Dyche is a fan of centre-back Victor Lindelof”.
The Swede, 29, is free to depart United this term in order to try and fund a squad overhaul.

The versatile defender was signed by Jose Mourinho in 2017 but has looked shaky numerous times over recent times.
Now he “could even be a candidate to replace” Branthwaite.
