UGC NET Correction window for December 2023 exam closes today; Here’s how you can make changes

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be closing the correction window for UGC NET 2023 December session today, i.e. November 3, 2023.
Candidates who have registered for the December 2023 session of UGC NET exam, and have found discrepancies in their applications, can correct the errors by updating the information on the NTA registration portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The UGC NET December exam for all registered candidates will be conducted in two shifts from 6 to 22 December, from 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.
Here’s how you can make the desired changes on your application for UGC NET 2023 December exam
Step 1: Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in to access the application correction link.
Step 2: On the homepage, select the “UGC NET December 2023 Application Correction Window” option.
Step 3: Enter your login details as required and click on submit.
Step 4: Edit your application form as necessary.
Step 5: Once you’re done, click on submit and remember to download a copy for your records.
Candidates should ensure that their qualification details are mentioned till the last attained institute. If they have received certificates/document proof of any new qualification that they have attained, since registering for the NTA UGC NET exam, they must submit the same for consideration.
Candidates should not that the NTA will not allow changes in mobile number, email address, permanent or correspondence address. Additionally, changes in the candidate’s photo or signature will not be allowed.
Upon closure of the correction window today, the examination authority will initiate the process of issuing the city intimation slip. Following which, it is expected that around the first week of December, the admit cards will be issued.
UGC NET December 2023 exam pattern

  • Mode of exam: The UGC NET exam is conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
  • Number of papers: The UGC NET exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Type of questions: Both papers of the UGC NET exam are objective-type, consisting of multiple choice questions.
  • Marking scheme: Each question in the UGC NET exam carries two marks. There is no negative marking.
  • Duration of exam: The UGC NET exam is a three-hour exam. Candidates need to complete both papers in three hours.

The UGC NET exam is held to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. It is a national-level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
