UGC NET: NTA to conduct UGC NET December 6 Exam tomorrow for Chennai and Nellore candidates: Here is why

UGC NET Exam 2023: The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2023 for candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Chennai affected by cyclone Michaung will now take place on December 14, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified.
The UGC NET exam 2023 was scheduled to commence on December 6, across a number of centres.Due to the significant logistical challenges caused by the cyclone’s landfall, many candidates from affected locations were unable to reach their exam centers. Recognising these difficulties, the NTA has provided these candidates with another opportunity to take the test. The Cyclone Michaung, a severe cyclonic storm, caused significant damage across Chennai, coastal Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Candidates whose exam centres were in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, will take the December 6 UGC NET exams on December 14, tomorrow.
This additional exam, which covers all subjects originally scheduled for December 6, will be held on December 14, 2023, exclusively for the affected candidates. This decision ensures fairness and provides equal opportunities to those who faced unanticipated challenges as a result of the natural disaster.
