Exam Participation and Pass Rate Breakdown
Out of the 25,78,007 students who registered for the intermediate examinations, 24,52,830 students appeared for the exams.The remaining students either did not appear or were absent on exam days. Among those who appeared, 20,26,067 students cleared the exams, achieving the aforementioned pass percentage.
Top Performers and Tie for Second Place
The UP Board Class 12 results unveiled a remarkable tie for second place among several high-achieving students, each securing an outstanding 488 marks out of 500, which translates to an impressive 97.60% score. Shubham Verma from Sitapur led the cohort with a stellar performance, closely followed by Vishu Chaudhary from Bagpat, Kajal Singh from Amroha, Raj Verma from Sitapur, Kashish Maurya also from Sitapur, Charli Gupta from Siddhartha Nagar, Sujata Pandey from Deoria, Sheetal Verma from Sitapur, Kashish Yadav from Rae Bareli, and Aaditya Kumar Yadav from Kanpur Nagar. This exceptional performance underscores their dedication and academic prowess, positioning them among the top achievers in the state.
Gender-wise Performance Gap
While the overall pass rate is encouraging, a notable difference exists between male and female candidates. This year, 77.78% of male students passed the exams compared to 88.42% of female students. This translates to a gap of 10.64%, highlighting a higher success rate among female candidates.
District-wise Performance Analysis
The UPMSP has also released the district-wise breakdown of performance. Amroha emerged as the top-performing district with a remarkable pass rate of 91.27%, followed closely by Mahoba and Lucknow at 90.51% and 90.49% respectively. These figures indicate strong academic performance in these districts.
