UPSC CDS Admit Card 2024 (Soon): Important Dates, Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme and More

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is soon expected to release the UPSC CDS Admit Card 2024. Once issued, candidates who have applied for the Combined Defence Service (CDS) can check and download the hall tickets from the official website at upsc.gov.in.
The Commission will conduct the UPSC CDS I 2024 on April 21. Candidates who have registered for the exam are awaiting their hall ticket which is likely to be published anytime soon.
How to download UPSC CDS 2024 Admit Card?
Step 1.Visit the official website at upsc.gov.in
Step 2. On the homepage, click on the link for UPSC CDS Admit Card
Step 3. You will be redirected to a new page, enter your registration details and submit
Step 4. Your admit card ill be displayed on the screen
Step 5. Download and take a printout of the same for future reference

Examination Scheme
1. The Competitive examination comprises:
(a) Written examination.
(b) Interview for intelligence and personality test of candidates as may be called for interview at one of the Services Selection Centres.
2. The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows:
(a) For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:—

Marking Scheme

  • There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective-type question papers.
  • Each question presents four alternatives for the answer. If a candidate provides a wrong answer, one-third (0.33) of the marks allocated to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
  • Should a candidate provide more than one answer, it will be considered incorrect even if one of the given answers is correct. The same penalty as described above will apply to that question.
  • If a question is left unanswered, with no response from the candidate, no penalty will be applied for that question.

Syllabus
Here’s a subject-wise breakup of the syllabus:
English: This part focuses on checking how well you understand grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and your ability to write effectively.
General Knowledge: This part spans various subjects such as Indian history, politics, geography, economics, science, current events, and defense-related information.
Elementary Mathematics: This section covers fundamental math topics like basic arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, measurement, and statistics. It’s akin to what you’d typically learn in Class 10 according to the CBSE curriculum.
