UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2024: The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) will conduct the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination – 2024 on June 16, which means there are only 19 days left before the examination takes place across various parts of the country. The number of vacancies to be filled through the examination is expected to be approximately 1056 which include 40 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category. Before appearing for the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024, candidates must download the UPSC CSE Admit Card. The https://upsc.gov.in/ and https://upsconline.nic.in/ will publish the UPSC CSE IAS Admit Card. IAS, IPS aspirants can download the UPSC CSE Prelims admit card by entering their login credentials such as application number and date of birth.
UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card 2024 Release Date
- The eligible candidates will be issued an e-Admit Card on the last working day of the preceding week of the date of examination. “If a candidate does not receive his e-Admit Card or any other communication regarding his/her candidature for the examination on the last working day of the preceding week of the date of examination, he/she should at once contact the Commission,” reads the official statement.
- Going by the media reports, the UPSC CSE Prelims Admit card is expected to be released after May 25, 2024. However, it is tentative. The Commission has not yet announced the date or time for the release of the UPSC CSE Prelims Admit Card.

Use of normal or simple wrist watches by candidates is allowed inside the Examination Rooms/ Halls. However, use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication device or smart watches is strictly prohibited and candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/ Halls. The Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will consist of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks in the subjects set out in sub-section (A) of Section II.
