UPSC Geologist Main Exam Result out: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, 2023. A total of 258 candidates have been selected for various prestigious posts. Candidates, who took the examination, can check and download their results online on the official website – upsc.gov.in.
The examination consisted of a Stage-I (Preliminary) held on February 19, 2023, followed by a Stage-II (Main) on June 24 and 25, 2023. The Personality Test took place in November and December, 2023.
The selected candidates will be appointed to key positions such as Geologist Group ‘A’, Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology) Group ‘A’, Geophysicist Group ‘A’, Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics) Group ‘A’, Chemist Group ‘A’, and Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical) Group ‘A’. The number of vacancies reported by the government for these positions are Geologist Group ‘A’ (194), Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology) Group ‘A’ (26), Geophysicist Group ‘A’ (26), Scientist ‘B’ (Geophysics) Group ‘A’ (2), Chemist Group ‘A’ (20), and Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical) Group ‘A’ (1).

The appointment process will be carried out by the government based on the available vacancies, subject to the candidates meeting all eligibility conditions and completing pre-appointment formalities/verifications satisfactorily.
