Those who excelled in the Personality Tests, a crucial stage of the exam, must now complete and submit their DAF-IIpromptly.This follows the recent announcement of the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2023 results on December 8th, 2023.
These results identified successful candidates who are now eligible for the next stage – the Personality Test (Interview). This stage is critical for securing positions in esteemed services such as the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).

Candidates unable to download their e-Summon Letters should promptly reach out to the Commission’s office via letter or phone at 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543, or fax at 011-23387310, 011-23384472. Alternatively, they can contact the Commission via email at [email protected]. It’s important to note that the Commission will not issue paper Summon Letters for the Personality Tests (Interviews).
Requests for altering the scheduled date and time of the Personality Test (Interview) communicated to candidates will generally not be accommodated.
All qualifying candidates for the Personality Tests (Interviews) must compulsorily complete and submit Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II). According to the Civil Services Examination, 2023 Rules, candidates, before the Interview/Personality Test, must express preferences for participating services in the online DAF-II. Any delay or failure to submit the DAF-II and required documents by the specified date will result in the cancellation of the CSE-2023 candidature. Candidates may additionally upload documents related to higher education, achievements, service experience, etc.
A candidate aspiring for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or Indian Police Service (IPS) must specify, in the online Detailed Application Form-II, the order of preferences for different Zones and Cadres. This choice determines the zones and cadres the candidate wishes to be considered for allotment upon appointment to IAS or IPS. It’s important to note that once submitted, preferences for Zones and Cadres cannot be altered.
