UPSC Prelims Examination: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is set to conduct the Civil Services examination on June 16, 2024. Candidates will be able to access and download the admit card from the official website, upsc.gov.in. Generally, the admit cards are released 10 days ahead of the examination by the Commission. Following this pattern, the Commission is expected to release the UPSC Prelims admit card in the first week of June.
Earlier, the exam was supposed to be conducted on May 26, 2024, but it was rescheduled to June 16.
The UPSC Prelims exam will be conducted in two shifts: General Studies (GS) and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The GS paper will be conducted in the morning session from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and the CSAT in the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Steps to Download UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
  2. On the homepage, go to the ‘What’s New’ section.
  3. Click on ‘e-Admit Card: Civil Services Examination, 2024’.
  4. Enter your login credentials and click on submit.
  5. The admit card will appear on your screen. Download it for further use.

Along with the admit card, candidates will have to carry valid ID proof to the examination center. Those who pass the Prelims examination will be eligible for the next UPSC Mains examination. Selection for the various posts under the Civil Services examination will be based on all three rounds: Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
