French malls giant Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) has announced the second edition of the Westfield Good Festival taking place at its two London shopping centres in May.

The now-annual event “showcases the positive steps brands are making in the environmental transition” and aims to “inspire and support consumers who want to live more sustainably and give back to their communities”.

The UK festival will kick off at Westfield Stratford City (3-6 May), followed by Westfield London (16-19 May).

It said this year’s festival promises to build on last year’s which saw visitors getting involved in everything from upcycling workshops, clothing repair stations, second-hand markets and talks from experts.

The Festival will also showcase The Seam clothing business connecting customers with local, specialist makers across London and beyond. The company offers wardrobe care and repair services, customisation and alterations. It was voted the ‘People’s Choice’ winner at the 2023 Westfield Grand Prix, a competition recognising the eco-conscious retail champions of tomorrow.

And following the success of last year’s event, Westfield said the festival will now also expand to the US, with events happening in April and May across the group’s 38 Westfield-branded shopping centres in Europe and the US.

Anne-Sophie Sancerre, Chief Customer and Retail Officer of URW, said: “The Westfield Good Festival illustrates the solid foundations of URW’s sustainable journey and clearly demonstrates how we support the sustainable evolution of retail in partnership with retailers and consumers.

“Our consumers expect us to enable their sustainable practices. This second edition will again give brands, through our Westfield platform, the opportunity to share their sustainability journey with our visitors.”
