Extraordinary footage showing where more than 800kg of cocaine was found hidden inside the hull of a bulk cargo carrier that was seized as part of an international drug smuggling plot has been released as two of the vessel’s senior crew members faced court charged over their alleged roles.
The ST Pinot’s Master, Milan Begovic, and its chief engineer, Radovan Vujicic, both from Montenegro, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday charged with importing a commercial quantity of the illicit substance that was found stashed in the ballast tank of the ship last month.
