VMAs 2023 Winners: See Every Category Here

The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards were a lengthy, action-packed, and star-studded pop culture journey… and did we mention they were lengthy? Whew. Anyway, the winners list for the VMAs 2023 is finally here. Keep scrolling to see if your favorite musicians won their first — or twentieth — Moon Person.

This year’s VMAs were broadcast live on Tuesday, September 12 from Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center. Rap icon Nicki Minaj returned as the show emcee after sharing hosting duties last year with LL Cool J and Jack Harlow.

Minaj had a dual role at this year’s show, as she also performed her new single “Last Time I Saw You” from Pink Friday 2. The MTV stage featured numerous performances from globally beloved acts such as Olivia Rodrigo, Stray Kids, Doja Cat, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, TXT, Fall Out Boy, Peso Pluma, and honorees Shakira and P. Diddy.

Taylor Swift was the most nominated artist of the night with 8 nominations in almost every eligible category. SZA closely followed Swift with 6 nods, and several artists, including Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Smith, and Nicki Minaj, received 5 nominations each.

But who was the biggest winner? Swifties, this one’s for you. The “Anti-Hero” singer made history at this year’s VMAs by winning 9 Moon Persons in one night. She now has a total of 23 wins, second only to Beyoncé, who has 30. Swift is also now the most awarded female artist in one night.
