WA Lotto: Man’s impulse decision to buy ticket from Grand Boulevard Lotteries Kiosk lands him $1 million win

A man’s impulse decision to purchase a lotto ticket as he waited for his girlfriend who was shopping, has turned into a $1 million dollar win.The Ellenbrook man has thanked the long line his partner was in, as he used that time to buy a fateful Wednesday Lotto ticket from Grand Boulevard Lotteries Kiosk in Joondalup.

“It was spur of the moment,” he said.

“My partner was taking longer in the shops than usual, so I thought I’d grab a Wednesday Lotto ticket.”

Lotterywest spokesperson James Mooney said the win is WA’s tenth millionaire thanks to Monday and Wednesday Lotto in 2023.

“I’m sure our latest millionaire will never complain about waiting in a line again,” Mr Mooney said.

“It’s been a solid week for WA, along with our Wednesday Lotto winner, the draw also produced three WA Division Two winning tickets, worth more than $4,200 each.

“Those tickets were sold from Subiaco Square News Lotto Plus, The Lucky Charm Victoria Park, and Winning Streak Lottery Centre in Warwick.”

The latest win is the 10th West Aussie millionaire thanks to Monday and Wednesday Lotto in 2023.

At least one sandgroper has pocketed Monday and Wednesday Lotto’s $1 million division one prize every month this year.
