The queue outside this popular restaurant should be indication enough that these are little parcels of goodness worth getting your gums around. There is lots on the menu here, but we like to stick to a classic at this low-key joint: pan-fried pork dumplings. Probably one of the best things you can put on a plate. Pass the chilli oil.
My House Dumpling
Leederville
After developing a cult following from their Cambridge Food Court location, My House picked themselves up and moved to bigger digs with their very own restaurant in Leederville. With a wide range of boiled and pan-fried dumplings and xiao long bao. It’s not just a dumpling house, it’s a dumpling home.

Chef Brendan Pang says this tiny restaurant that operates out of a caravan in Freo’s Sunshine Harvester Works is the result of his “ongoing obsession with dumplings”. Which seems like a perfectly reasonable obsession to us. In particular, the Bang Bang Chicken dumplings. Obsessed. Truly, the stuff of dreams. Bumplings has also branched out into frozen dumplings you can pick up from the supermarket if you want to indulge at home.

One of the few places in Perth focusing on north-east Chinese cuisine. Pickled cabbage and pork, lamb and chicken and Chinese mushroom dumplings are all on offer, all extra delicious with a side of dried fried beans.
Munchy Monk Dumpling House
Northbridge
Tucked away in William Street Arcade, this small but mighty restaurant pumps out some absolutely delicious plates of dumplings. We love their potstickers with the crispy goodness on top. These guys also do some very good Shanghai-style shengjian bao, a sort of bready pan-fried dumpling. Delicious.
