Parts of the Great Southern were lashed by heavy rainfall on Sunday, damaging properties and flooding roads, with one child taking a canoe through the floodwaters.
Sanders Road and Carbarup Road experienced flooding across the road, while the Shire of Plantagenet closed all gravel roads on Sunday.
One Mt Barker child could be seen kayaking through floodwaters in the chilly weather.
A spokesperson for the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the State Emergency Service received four requests for assistance around Mt Barker on Sunday as a result of the heavy rainfall.
Properties on Monderup Street, Albany Highway, Ingoldby Street, and Lord Street required sandbagging as a result of flooding.
One Gnowangerup property requested assistance from the SES after experiencing water ingress on Sunday, and the storm on Saturday damaged the eaves of a Denmark property.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 24.8mm of rain in Rocky Gully on Sunday, and 31.8mm as of Monday afternoon.
Mt Barker had 92.6mm of rain from 4pm on Saturday to 4pm on Monday while Kendenup had 90.4mm over the same time range.
Albany is recorded to have received 5.8mm of rain on Sunday and 9.6mm by Monday afternoon.
Formby South Road at the Kybelup Crossing south of Gnowangerup was closed because of flooding.

- Muir Highway near Pardelup Road, Forest Hill.
- Albany Highway near Lowood Road, Mt Barker.
- Broomehill Gnowangerup Road 5km west of Gnowangerup.
- Gnowangerup Jerramungup Road, 5km east of Ongerup.
