Even though Perth locals may be in a rush to leave the city this long weekend, those who choose to stay have good weather coming and could even choose to do their Easter egg hunts at the beach.
The same can’t be said for the Kimberley, however, as the region is set to experience a severe heatwave spanning from Saturday to Monday.
Temperatures for the area will range from 33-41 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology urges those in the Kimberley to:
- Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre.
- Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
- If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool.
Lucky Perth seems to have escaped the scorching heat with a more tame forecast.
The rest of Saturday is predicted to be a mild 29 degrees and partly cloudy as Sunday continues this trend, mostly sunny and perfect beach weather.
Monday is forecasted to reach 28 degrees, sunny with a ‘chilly’ minimum of 14 degrees.
The rest of the week continues to be perfect beach weather for Perth and those who plan to extend their long weekend.
