Bride Kara’s grandparents emigrated to Australia from Italy more than 60 years ago.
They lived on a farm in Dwellingup and it has remained a special place for the family ever since.
So much so, Kara and her fiance Cale decided to host the happiest day of their lives there.
Everything from start to finish paid homage to family, from the custom menu incorporating produce from the farm that the bride and groom caught themselves — including freshwater crayfish — to the fruit displays on the reception tables decorated with bunches of garlic from Kara’s nonna’s garage.
The couple revealed the most special moment of the night was when Kara’s uncle Tony sung That’s Amore to all 240 of their guests.

When and where
The special day took place on December 21, 2022, at the bride’s family orchard in Dwellingup.

Kara donned a minimalist off-shoulder Alex Perry gown for the ceremony before changing into a spectacular three-piece Prada outfit for the reception.

Honeymoon
The lovebirds spent a few days at Crown Perth over Christmas, followed by a trip to Italy.
